CMOs focus areas

A survey by Heidrick and Struggles identifies some key priorities of CMOs today.

Top 2 : Acquiring and Retaining customers. At first I thought this was business as usual. But when I saw what was at the bottom of the list, expanding to new geographies, I guessed that the CMOs were talking of going more aggressive in current markets.

And looking at tactics they will invest in I found it interesting that Resarch and Search dominated the list. And of course lots of on-line tactics.

Not surprising. More corroboration.
