As many viewers of DR TV would know Billy Mays was one of the stars of that medium. He seemed a bit over enthusiastic for me, but he was a great success.

And his success was based on some very simple fundamentals.

This article lists 7 lessons.

1. Have a solid product.

2. Listen to consumers.

3. Show how your product can make people’s lives easier.

4. Include a Call-to-Action.

5. Run a small test before launching a broad campaign.

6. Conduct A/B Testing on Successful Ad Campaigns.

7. Watch the competition.

Simple as they are. Often simple is difficult.
