Twitter do’s and dont’s

Given the buzz around Twitter, media is abuzz with stories of brands and people who are using, and abusing, Twitter.

This FT article gives some advice based on specific brand examples on the usage of Twitter.

Irrespective of these new channels or media, one should not lose sight of the basic truth that brands need to engage with their customers.

This is a medium of dialogue.

So talk to your customers/followers/fans..and expect to get a response and be ready to deal with that.

It isn’t all going to be good, but atleast you know what they are saying/thinking.

Companies/brands that use this as a broadcast medium are bound to fail.

PS: I am not sure that the ‘ belong in the headline, but as it was in the FT,  I imagine they know what they are doing.
