Virtual agencies

An experiment, or rather a series of experiments in Buffalo in the US around a virtual agency.

Attempts to keep overheads low and working with a set of partners as needed.

I imagine with the pressure on bottom lines continuing clients will be reviewing all lines of expense and agency fees will definitely be one of the areas of scrutiny.

Outsourcing to cheaper locations especially for production has been a trend. With Lenovo we have seen that move getting into creative as well.

So little ventures into virtual agencies will definitely be an area of exploration.

Clients will end up with a mix of options and if they go the Intel way will demand an ‘open source’ model where they assign projects to agencies they believe best suited to specific jobs.
