Retail for men

There’s a new book out called Branding the Man: Why Men are the Next Frontier in Fashion Retail by Bertrand Pellegrin. No I haven’t got around to buying it yet. Probably next weekend.

However in the book Pellegrin talks about unique differences needed in stores that cater to men. He studied gyms, strip clubs, electronic stores and bars to understand their commonalities.

This article here gives some insight into the book and the author’s hypotheses.

Quite a fascinating read.

This morning I went to a hi fashion brand store and can tell you, if they followed any of the principles listed they would have got some money out of me.
